Abortion Bill Is On It’s Way To Governor McMaster’s Desk

A controversial six-week abortion ban bill is now on its way to Governor McMaster’s desk.

The Senate approved a House-amended version of the bill by a 27 to 19 vote, after the House passed it last week.

The ‘Fetal Heartbeat and Protection From Abortion Act’ would ban most abortions after a heartbeat can be detected in a fetus or embryo, commonly as early as six weeks into pregnancy.

The bill includes exceptions under certain circumstances such as if the patient’s life is in danger or fatal fetal anomalies.

McMaster shared via Twitter that he looks forward to signing this bill into law as soon as possible.
