14-Year-Old Saves Younger Sister From Kidnapper With Slingshot

The injuries caused by the slingshot helped authorities identify the suspect, which led to his arrest.

A 14-year-old Michigan boy defended his 8-year-old sister from what could have been a kidnapping incident.

A 17-year-old suspect allegedly came through the woods on a rural Alpena, Michigan property, snatched the girl with his hand over her mouth and his arm around the waist.

The girl’s brother then took action by firing two shots with a slingshot at the kidnapper striking him in the head and chest. His sister was then able to get free from the kidnapper’s grasp.

The injuries caused by the slingshot helped authorities identify the suspect, which led to his arrest.

The identity of the detained suspect has not been publicly revealed but he has been charged as an adult with one count of attempted kidnapping/child enticement, one count of attempted assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, and one count of assault and battery.
