Georgia Bulldogs Respectfully Decline White House Invite Due To Scheduling

The Georgia Bulldogs football team respectfully declined an invitation to visit the White House.

The Bulldogs beat the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7 in January to take home their second consecutive College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy and ended with a 15-0 perfect season.

The university received the invitation to visit next month with intent to celebrate their achievement.

The rejection stated that the date suggested is not feasible given the student-athlete calendar and time of year. However, the team was appreciative of the invitation.

The Bulldogs did not visit the White House after its championship last year either, nor did the Alabama Crimson Tide the year before due to Covid related issues.
