Investigations Opened After Two Separate Murders In Robeson County
Anyone with information regarding either incident, is urged to contact the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two homicides.
Two murders occurred within an hour of each other on Friday night.
Officials were called to the 100 block of Parnell Road near Lumberton on reports of someone being shot around 8:30p.m..
Upon arrival, deputies found 27-year-old Donald Williams deceased due to a gunshot wound.
33-year-old, Kenneth Mitchel is wanted in connection to the incident and is facing charges of first degree murder along with others.
The second death also occurred in the Lumberton area.
Around 10:40p.m., Robeson deputies responded to 988 Rice Road in regards to another person who was shot.
When they arrived, they discovered 36-year-old Elbert Alford dead at the scene.
There was no word regarding a possible suspect in that case.
None of the murders that occurred within 24 hours of each other are believed to be connected.
