McDonald’s Stores Across Several States Discovered Working Children

Three franchises now face civil money penalties with an estimated combined total of over $212 thousand.

It was revealed on Wednesday, McDonald’s stores across several states were in violation of federal labor laws.

The Labor Department’s investigation found at least 305 children under the age of 16 were working at 62 McDonald’s restaurants across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Maryland. 45 of the locations were in Kentucky alone.

Two children were only 10-years-old working unpaid and as late as 2a.m..

Three franchises, the Bauer Food LLC, Archways Richwood LLC, and Bell Restaurant Group LLC, now face civil money penalties with an estimated combined total of over $212 thousand.
