Marlboro County Deputy Fired After Violating Policies
The deputy allegedly hosted an unauthorized male individual in the car with him during a pursuit that led from Dillon County into Robeson County.
A Marlboro County Sheriff’s Deputy was fired on Tuesday following a two-state chase.
Deputy William Mosier was fired after allegedly hosting an unauthorized male individual in the car with him during a pursuit that led from Dillon County into Robeson County.
The individual was a civilian ride-along passenger who was not approved by a department supervisor to be in the vehicle.
Mosier was the one who initiated the vehicle chase that ended after the suspect’s vehicle crashed.
The former deputy then allegedly hid the unauthorized passenger in the trunk of his patrol vehicle.
Mosier had worked with the sheriff’s office since October 24th of 2021. He previously worked at the Florence County Detention Center before that. His recent actions led to his termination.
