Man Arrested After Fleeing A Traffic Stop And Striking Several Vehicles

A firearm and suspected drugs were discovered in the suspects vehicle.

On Thursday, a traffic stop led to the arrest of one person who attempted to flee.

Florence County Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Church Street Extension near Pamplico Highway.

Dahvyan Rivers was driving the vehicle and tried to flee traveling toward Freedom Boulevard. He continued until his vehicle collided with multiple others at the intersection with Pamplico Highway.

Rivers then fled from the scene by foot. He was later arrested near American Drive.

A firearm and suspected drugs were discovered in the vehicle Rivers was driving. He is being charged with several traffic offenses and drug-related charges.

No one was injured during this chain of events.
