The NFL has a new highest paid player in history.
24-year-old Quarterback, Jalen Hurts, has agreed to a 5-year contract extension to play for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The $255 million contract will keep Hurts in Philly through the 2028 season. It also includes over $179 million in guarantees, which is the second-most guaranteed amount of money in league history, behind Deshaun Watson’s contract with the Cleveland Browns.
The Eagles announced the extension, but did not reveal further details regarding the new contract.
Reports say there is a no trade clause, which is a first for this kind of contract.
