Shooting Occurred At A Louisville Park Resulting In 2 Deaths And Several Injuries
The park Chickasaw Park is approximately five miles away from the Old National Bank where a separate shooting happened.
Less than a week after a mass shooting at a bank in Louisville left five people dead, two people were shot and killed at Chickasaw Park in Louisville on Saturday.
Shots were fired into a crowd at the park and police responded to reports of the shooting around 9p.m.. Upon arrival, two victims were pronounced dead at the scene and four others were found injured.
While there was a great amount of people present at the park, police had no witnesses to the shooting. It remains unclear who opened fire.
Louisville Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey spoke directly to the shooter via a press conference and said, “We know that this will not end well. The best-case scenario is for you to turn yourself in and stop this.”
The park where this shooting took place is approximately five miles away from the bank that was the site of the shooting just five days before this incident occurred.
