Myrtle Beach Military Appreciation Days Parade

U.S. Army Veteran and Actress, Caitlin Bassett, will serve as Grand Marshal for this years event.

The annual Myrtle Beach Military Appreciation Days parade is just around the corner.

On Wednesday, it was announced that U.S. Army Veteran and Actress, Caitlin Bassett, will serve as Grand Marshal for this years event.

Bassett enlisted in the military at the age of 18 and has completed three combat deployments, including two in Afghanistan and one in Qatar. She also worked for the U.S. National Security agency in Hawaii and NSA main in Maryland before being honorably discharged in 2015.

The actress is also well known for her role in the show ‘Quantum Leap’.

Bassett will lead the parade and interact with fans afterwards at the family picnic in Valor Memorial Garden.

The community is invited to attend the free post-parade events which will feature live music, military exhibits, and more.

Entries are accepted now for this year’s Military Appreciation Days Parade and marching bands are encouraged to take part in the festivities as well.
