One Tennessee Lawmaker Reinstated After Expulsion For Protest Involvement

The protest was conducted following the Nashville shooting at a private Christian school that left six people dead including three children.

A lawmaker who was expelled last week after his involvement in a gun control protest, has now been reinstated.

Democratic Representative, Justin Jones was one of the three Tennessee lawmakers who led a demonstration on the chamber floor. He was expelled for his actions along with fellow Democrat, Justin Pearson.

The protest was conducted following the Nashville shooting at a private Christian school that left six people dead including three children.

A third Democrat who joined them in the protest was spared from expulsion by one vote.

After being reinstated, Jones said the first thing he is going to do is call for common sense gun legislation.

It is unclear at this time if Pearson will be reinstated as well. The voting for him is set for Wednesday.
