Louisville Bank Gunman Identified

The gunman had interned at the bank for three summers before he was employed there full-time for nearly two years.

We now know the identity of the gunman who opened fire at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, taking several lives.

25-year-old, Connor Sturgeon was live-streaming when he carried out the shooting at Old National Bank. He began to fire the gun inside a conference room during a morning staff meeting, before the doors opened to the public.

Five people died during the incident while several others remain hospitalized including a police officer who is in critical condition after a shootout with the gunman, which resulted in Sturgeons death.

The gunman had interned at the bank for three summers before he was employed there full-time for nearly two years.

Sturgeon left a note indicating his plans. He reportedly was informed that he was going to be fired from his job at the bank before the actions were conducted.

An investigation is still underway.
