‘Super Mario Bros.’ has the Biggest Global Opening for Animation Film

A lot of coins were collected at the box office this weekend over the oliday weekend. The Super Mario Bros. movie, based on the popular Nintendo franchise scored the top opening of all time for an animated film…bringing in $377 million in worldwide ticket sales. The film stars Chris Pratt, Anya-Taylor Joy and Jack Black. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 previously held the top spot for video game movies.
