Saudi Arabia And Iran Reach Agreement

Iran and Saudi Arabia highlighted their readiness to eliminate all the obstacles facing the expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

After over seven years, two foreign ministers met in Beijing to discuss significant details in a resolution regarding a landmark agreement mediated by China.

Saudi Arabia’s Prince Faisal bin Al Saud, and Iran’s Hossein Amir-Abdollahian signed an agreement to reopen embassies and consulates in their mutual countries.

The two sides agreed to ‘review ways to expand their cooperation, including the resuming of flights, mutual trips from official delegations and the private sector, as well as facilitating visas’.

The agreement represented the first time the two territories have begun to mend official diplomatic relations of the two nations in years.
