After over seven years, two foreign ministers met in Beijing to discuss significant details in a resolution regarding a landmark agreement mediated by China.
Saudi Arabia’s Prince Faisal bin Al Saud, and Iran’s Hossein Amir-Abdollahian signed an agreement to reopen embassies and consulates in their mutual countries.
The two sides agreed to ‘review ways to expand their cooperation, including the resuming of flights, mutual trips from official delegations and the private sector, as well as facilitating visas’.
