King Charles’ Wife Referred To As “Queen” For The First Time

The Coronation invitations have been sent out to over two thousand guests and were unveiled on Tuesday.

For the very first time, King Charles’ wife has officially been identified as ‘Queen’.

Camilla, who until now was referred to as ‘Queen Consort’ was titled ‘Queen Camilla’ on the invitation for the Monarch’s Coronation set for May 6th.

The invitations have been sent out to over two thousand guests and were unveiled on Tuesday.

Many world leaders are expected to attend the event. Though U.S. presidents traditionally have not attended the coronation of the British Monarch, President Biden congratulated the king and announced that First Lady Jill Biden will be attending the event to represent the U.S..

Biden added he would like to meet with the new king in the U.K. at a future date.

Camilla will be crowned alongside King Charles the third at Westminster Abbey.
