Myrtle Beach Dermatology Office Abruptly Closes Without Warning
Without notice or warning many patients have been left without access to their medical records.
A dermatology office in Myrtle Beach closed down without notice or warning leaving many patients without access to their medical records.
The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center of South Carolina located on Highway 17 Bypass randomly shut down without making their patients aware of what was going to happen.
The last day it was open was on February 17th but it was expected to reopen on February 20th under new ownership. The transfer of ownership did not appear to take place and the office never reopened.
The center was owned by Dr. Joseph Masessa who was declared deceased on November 1stof 2019 after a plane crash.
A family member took over operations but he was not a licensed physician in South Carolina.
The Board of Medical Examiners were never notified about the closure and have yet to hear from the family member that took over.
Former patients can contact Dr. Brandon Coakley’s office in order to get their medical records. His office is located at 5046 Highway Bypass South, suite 200.
