Musk Changes Twitter Icon To Shiba Inu In Response To Lawsuit
It is unclear if it will be Twitter's new permanent icon or if it is just temporary as Musk is known to use the app to stir up both fans and critics.
Twitter users may have witnessed an unusual change in the app’s traditional icon.
The well-known bird icon has been replaced with an image of a Shiba Inu, an apparent nod to Dogecoin which is the joke cryptocurrency that CEO Elon Musk is currently being sued over.
Musk tweeted a screenshot of a year-old conversation in which another user suggested Musk buy Twitter and change the logo to a doge, along with a caption that read ‘as promised’.
The new logo appeared two days after Musk requested a judge to throw out a $258 billion lawsuit accusing him of running a pyramid scheme to support Dogecoin.
It is unclear if it will be Twitter’s new permanent icon or if it is just temporary as Musk is known to use the app to stir up both fans and critics.
