House GOP Prepares Backup Plan For Debt Limit Issue

A settlement on the United States debt limit issue that has been an on-going debate among officials for months.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is set to demand a settlement on the United States debt limit issue that has been an on-going debate among officials for months.

McCarthy and his top lieutenants announced they are preparing to move a party-line bill to raise the National debt limit if President Biden continues to leave no room for negotiation with House Republicans.

The move would be made to prevent the Nation’s first ever default. The GOP can only afford to lose four votes on any partisan plan and issues have caused separation within their party.

If the White House continues to stand their ground, GOP’s believe they can put pressure on the Senate and the president by passing a bill that would raise the debt ceiling and include budget cuts.
