Audra figured since Greg is eating brussels sprouts now, he might be ready to take nutrition to the next level with green juice.

One of things we typically pledge each year to get more greens in our diets.  Most of us rarely have a plan to carry that out.   The national calendar even has a day each year to celebrate green juice day.  It’s to remind us of ways to get our healthy on.  Green juice basically means any green vegetables and fruit that is pressed, blended or stirred into a juice.  Often a green juice will include green leafy vegetables like kale, spinach or swiss chard. and green fruits like apples, pears or limes.  Don’t let the color fool you these things can be tasty especially the ones blended with milk and bananas.  Popular smoothie combinations usually include bananas as a base a fruit and veggie.  For sweeter combos the rule of thumb is one sweet fruit for every veggie.  For example you can throw in a green apple, a handful of fresh spinach with a banana or an avocado and kiwi, or celery and lime, etc.  Add a splash of milk or water and some ice for a refreshing healthy and tasty shake.  Using a blender is probably the easiest, but some take the time to juice their greens.  Some grow their own wheat grass to use with a juicer. Juicing can take up time and counter space, so if that’s not for you, but enjoy a shot of wheatgrass, can stop by a juice bar like Lo Leos.   There are plenty of pre-packaged options that come in powder form.  You just mix in water, stir and drink.  Audra brings in one of the more popular brands on social media.  She has tried different ones like Bloom and Athletic Greens and is currently subscribed to the later. Her goal was to sell the daily routine to Greg.  (A for effort.)
