Suspected Robber Arrested After Finger Prints Found At The Scene

A man has been charged in connection to an armed robbery that occurred in Myrtle Beach on Friday.

The robbery was conducted at a store on 3rd Avenue South and was captured on surveillance video.

20-year-old, Andre Long, grabbed a drink from the store and waited in line behind another customer. When the customer left the store, the cashier scanned the drink Long had set on the counter which is when he allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband. Long reportedly took money from the cash register.

After the commotion, he exited the store leaving behind the drink bottle and police were able to match his fingerprints with those left on it.

Long was arrested and charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of firearms and ammunition, and unlawful carrying of a pistol. He remains at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $92,500 bond.
