The Great American Main Street Award recognizes communities for excellence in revitalizing their communities.

The winners are selected by a National Jury of industry professionals and local leaders in the fields of economic development and history preservation.

This year, 15 communities applied, eight were recognized as semi-finalists and three were selected as the winners.

Among those three, Downtown Florence Main Street was granted the award and honored as a 2023 GAMSA winner.
