You Can’t Eat the Plastic on the Fruit Roll-Ups!

The company posted a reminder to remove the plastic wrap on the Fruit Roll-up after someone TikTok appeared to have eaten the whole thing.

Fruit Rollups are making headlines again.  People have been posting different ways they eat them from freezing so they’re crunchy to wrapping them around a hunk of ice cream –  like we tried on our show.  But the company had to post its own video telling people not to eat the plastic!  If you haven’t had one in a while, each roll-up has a thin sheet of plastic stuck to it.   If you want to eat one frozen, you have to unroll the candy, pull the plastic off, roll it back up again and then freeze it.   A TikTok’er posted a video where it looked like she just opened one up and ate the whole thing plastic and all.   She claimed it didn’t come with any plastic.   Either way,  the company says it’s definitely not edible.
