Coastal Carolina Renames A Major Academic Building

The building formerly referred to as the Academic Office and Classroom Building II, will now be known as 'Penny Hall'.

Coastal Carolina University held a dedication ceremony on Monday to rename one of its main buildings.

The building formerly referred to as the Academic Office and Classroom Building II, will now be known as ‘Penny Hall’.

CCU has received over $138 million from the Penny Sales Tax and used some of that money to build the building.

The new title is a way to show the university’s appreciation for Horry County’s Penny Sales Tax.
