Suspect Accused Of Shooting A Security Guard Denied Bond
Freeman is accused of shooting security guard Ricky Wise while he was attempting to break up a fight in the Avalon community of the Carolina Forest area.
The suspect accused of shooting a security guard on March 11th allegedly had Molotov cocktails in his home.
37-year-old, Brent Freeman was arrested and charged with attempted murder, strong arm robbery, breach of peace, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and malicious injury to real property value over $5 thousand.
Freeman is accused of shooting security guard Ricky Wise while he was attempting to break up a fight in the Avalon community of the Carolina Forest area.
Freeman allegedly took the body camera off of Wise, ran into a residence, then came back out with a shotgun and aimed it at a neighbor.
Wise pulled his weapon and ordered freeman to drop his, which prompted him to open fire on the officer hitting him in the face and back of the head. Wise was able to return fire at Freeman striking him three times.
The officer was able to recover from injuries he sustained.
Freeman is now detained and has been denied bond.
