One of our viewers, Leslie Gluchowski, participates in Carolina Kindness by sharing gratitude for a health professional. Leslie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about three years ago and began working out to help manage the disease. That’s where her path crossed with personal trainer, Haywood Hand, at the Claire Chapin Epps YMCA. She writes, “He’s one of the kindest people and biggest motivator for people with challenges who want to get stronger. He’s encouraged me to do things I didn’t think I was going to be able to do again.” Other clients say the same of Haywood Hand. Leslie hopes hopes others with disabilities can be encouraged to look for ways to get stronger and find resources in the area.
