Chinese President Xi Jinping To Speak With Ukrainian President Zelensky

This would be the first time Jinping plans to speak with Zelensky since the Ukraine war first began.

A plan is in the works for discussions between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, said they have been encouraging Jinping to reach out to Zelensky because they believe that the PRC and Jinping should hear directly from the Ukrainian perspective and not just the Russian point of view on the on-going war between Russia and Ukraine.

This would be the first time Jinping plans to speak with Zelensky since the Ukraine war first began.

President Biden has also indicated his willingness to participate in discussions with the Chinese president regarding the suspected Chinese balloon being shot down and China reacting with threats toward the U.S. for their actions.
