One Arrested In Connection To The Four Kidnapped Americans

The four traveled to the border city of Matamoros for a tummy tuck for one of the individuals. They encountered gun fire by several unidentified suspects, then placed in a vehicle and taken from the scene by the armed men.

One person has been detained in connection to the four Americans that were kidnapped by gunmen in Northeastern Mexico.

The person’s name has not been released but they have been identified as a 24-year-old.

Throughout the three days that the Americans were held captive, they were transferred to several different places before they were found in a “wooden house” outside of Matamoros, Mexico.

The kidnapped citizen’s were identified as LaTavia McGee, Zindell Brown, Shaeed Woodard and Eric Williams. Brown and Woodard were discovered deceased as McGee and Williams survived and have since been brought back to the states.

Investigators are linking the case to the Mexican cartel that could have mistook the victims for Haitian drug smugglers.
