Many Gathered For The 26th Annual Myrtle Beach Marathon

The fastest time on record for the event is 2 hours and 26 minutes that was accomplished by Stuart Moran back in 2012.

Hundreds of people gathered to run in the Myrtle Beach Marathon on Saturday.

Over 1 thousand runners registered for the 26th annual event.

The fastest marathon pace for men was 2 hours and 38 minutes accomplished by Danny Horgan of Norton, Massachusetts.

The fastest for women was 2 hours and 58 minutes completed by Christa Collins of Irmo, South Carolina.

Runners of all ages participated in the event including some children in strollers and some elders over the age of 70.

Some participants were there to win, and joined in simply for fun.
