Investigation Discovered Details Of Crash That Killed Two Members Of UGA Football Program
The toxicology report revealed that the person behind the wheel of the vehicle had a blood alcohol level of .197% at the time of the crash.
On January 15th, two members of the University of Georgia football program died as a result of a single-car crash.
Georgia offensive lineman, Devin Willock, and Georgia recruiting staffer, Chandler LeCroy both were killed in the crash. Offensive tackle, Warren McClendon and recruiting staffer, Tori Bowles were also injured but both survived.
The toxicology report revealed that LeCroy, who was behind the wheel of the vehicle, had a blood alcohol level of .197% at the time of the crash.
Police also revealed that evidence indicated that the vehicle was traveling at nearly 104 miles per hour before crashing.
An investigation discovered that LeCroy and graduating player Jalen Carter were racing after leaving the downtown Athens area at around 2:30a.m. and the crash occurred around 2:45a.m..
The Georgia team had just held their celebration after winning their second National Championship game.
