2 Million Cosori Air Fryers Recalled Due To Fire Risk
The recalled products were sold between June 2018 through December 2022 at retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Target.
A recall has been placed on 2 million Cosori air fryers.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said that consumers should stop usage of the products immediately due to possible fire risk.
The agency said it has received 205 incident reports of the air fryers catching fire, burning, melting, overheating, and smoking. 10 of the reports resulted in minor, superficial burn injuries and 23 reported property damage.
An investigation determined the closed-end crimp connectors within the air fryers that create electrical connections between certain wires can overheat causing fire outbreaks and burn hazards.
The recalled products were sold between June 2018 through December 2022 at retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot, and Target.
The company set up a special website for customers to trade in their air fryers for a new one.
