Young Child Died From Drowning In North Myrtle Beach
The report stated there was a 10 minute time frame between the time the child was last seen and then found floating in the water.
On Tuesday, a family visiting North Myrtle Beach from Ohio, ended their vacation with a tragedy.
Around 11a.m., the family was preparing to leave to head back home when they realized a child was missing.
They searched inside and outside of a home they were staying in until they discovered 2-year-old Barron Mitchell Jr. floating in the inlet behind the location in the 300 block of 54th Avenue North.
The report stated there was a 10 minute time frame between the time the child was last seen and then found floating in the water.
Barron Jr. was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 11:15p.m..
The incident is currently being investigated by the North Myrtle Beach Police Department and an autopsy is scheduled to reveal the cause of death.
