S.C. Elementary Student Brings Knife To School With Intent To Harm
The child explained that he learned how to conduct such actions from the Horror film "Chucky".
On Thursday, a 7-year-old child brought a knife to Cherryvale Elementary School in Sumter, South Carolina.
The stainless-steel kitchen knife was just over 12-inches long with a seven-inch blade. The child brought it from home in their book bag and threatened their classmates and teacher.
When asked why he brought the knife with him he stated that he wanted to kill the teachers and students by “stabbing them in the heart”. The child explained that he learned how to conduct such actions from the Horror film “Chucky”.
The knife has since been recovered and entered into evidence while the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is working with school officials in an on-going investigation.
No students or faculty were harmed in the incident.
