Your Relationship May Only Be as Good as the Sleep You’re Getting
One night of bad sleep isn’t a big deal it can become dangerous over time.
Your relationship may only be as good as the sleep you’re getting and some couples are choosing separate beds to save their marriages. Researchers from Ohio State University found that couples who fought after not getting enough sleep had higher levels of stress-related inflammation. While one night of bad sleep isn’t a big deal it can become dangerous over time as elevated levels of inflammation puts us at higher risk for health problems like diabetes, alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease, and arthritis. They concluded sleep quality is deeply connected to mental health and mood. A lack of zzz’s can easily trigger snappiness, arguments, and resentment that can send couples on the express train toward a breakup.
