United Airlines Adds New Family Friendly Feature

A new seat map feature allows families with children under 12 to find seats together free of charge.

United Airlines has a new feature that was created to assist families that are flying together.

A new seat map feature allows families with children under 12 to find seats together free of charge.

The new option will find available adjacent economy seats at the time of booking and open up complimentary upgrades to other available seats as needed.

In cases where seats directly beside each other are not open, customers will be allowed to switch to another flight to their destination that does have adjacent seats in the same cabin for free.

No fare difference will be charged in cases where a flight change is necessary.

The new seat map feature will be offered to Basic Economy tickets but does not include First Class and Economy Plus seats.
