Mardi Gras Shooting Along Popular Parade Route

It is unclear at this time what led to the shooting. the New Orleans Police Department said they were able to recover two weapons on the scene and also arrested one suspect that they believe is responsible.

One person has died and four others were injured after a shooting occurred
along the Mardi Gras parade route ahead of a celebration.

On Sunday night, gunfire interrupted the festivities around 9:30p.m. along the ‘Krewe of Bacchus’ parade route in New Orleans, which was scheduled to start at 5p.m. that evening.

The shooting injured a juvenile girl, a woman, and three men. One of the men was later pronounced dead and the other four victims are in stable condition.
