Suspect That Crashed Into HCSO Van Charged With DUI

The driver of the other vehicle was traveling North in the Southbound lanes on Highway 501 before it collided head on with the sheriff's van.

Tuesday morning a Horry County Sheriff’s Office van was involved in a two-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred near Forestbrook Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was traveling North in the Southbound lanes on Highway 501 before it collided head on with the sheriff’s van that was heading Southbound.

The transport van driver sustained injuries from the incident but they were not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the other vehicle was driving under the influence at the time of the crash and has been detained on charges of a DUI.

The suspect’s identity has not been publicly released
