Meta has restored former President Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts after a two year ban.
The move comes weeks after the company announced it would do so. Meta suggested that timeframe would allow guardrails to be placed on the accounts to make them easier to suspend again if necessary.

A current Trump adviser says the move means his likeness can be used again in advertisements on the platform and Trump’s campaign plans to take advantage of that for fundraising and messaging as he ramps up his third bid for the White House.
