Two Arrested And Three Others Wanted In Connection To Murder Investigation

An investigation led officials to believe there are 5 suspects involved in the incident.

Two people have been arrested in connection to a murder investigation.

On February 1st, the body of Timothy Jacobs was discovered in a car parked in a field in the area of Hornet Road and Meadow Road, just outside the city of Lumberton.

On Wednesday, 20-year-old, Tyler Scott, and 25-year-old, Destinee Scott, were taken into custody. Both Destinee and Tyler are charged with first-degree murder, among many other charges. Both are also detained at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.

The two suspects are not relates though they share the same last night.

Three other suspects are wanted in connection to the death of Jacobs.

Police obtained warrants for a 16-year-old minor, 18-year-old Xavier Davis, and 22-year-old Clonze McDuffie.

An investigation is still on-going.
