CCU Students Assist In Bringing A Community Garden Back To Life

Students from Coastal Carolina University got their hands dirty this weekend.

The students have partnered up with City Councilman Larry White to bring a community garden back to life.

White owns the land the garden is located on, as it used to be where the home he grew up in sat on. After he inherited the land, he created the garden.

It became difficult for him to maintain the garden on his own, but people’s interest in fixing it sparked hope for the future of the project.

White is hopeful that the project will encourage other people to help maintain the community garden and could serve as a learning experience as well.
