U.S. Navy Veteran Released From Russian Custody

No exchange was made on the U.S. side for the veterans return.

Russia released a U.S. Navy veteran from custody.

Taylor Dudley has been detained in Russia since last April. He traveled to Poland to attend a music festival and allegedly crossed the Russian border at some point, but it remains unclear what charges he was detained for.

The U.S. Government did not deem the arrest as “wrongful” and the case had not been publicized before  due to his family wanting to keep negotiations for his release private.

No exchange was made on the U.S. side for Dudley’s return.
