House Republicans Approve New Rules Package

It is for the 118th session of Congress and was approved by 220 Republicans, while 212 Democrats and one Republican voted against it.

On Monday, House Republicans approved a new rules package.

The package includes many of the provisions sought by right-wing lawmakers in exchange for their support of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker. It is for the 118th session of Congress and was approved by 220 Republicans, while 212 Democrats and one Republican voted against it.

The package lays out how the lower chamber will carry out its business for the next two years.

A part of the package includes a new way of making it easier to remove the Speaker from power, instead of five, it will now only take one lawmaker to propose the removal.

The new approved rules package also included permission for House GOP’s to choose it’s Select Subcommittee to investigate the DOJ and FBI.
