Student Injured After Falling Off Balcony At A School
The students were reportedly involved in an isolated incident in the front of the building. The altercation became physical and resulted in the students fall.
A student suffered injuries after being pushed off of a balcony at West Florence High School.
The school’s resource officer was called to stop a fight when the student went over the balcony. Principal Matthew Dowdell released a statement regarding the situation.

Administrators and nurses reportedly responded and called EMS. The student was then transported to McLeod Hospital for further evaluation and has since been released with a sprained knee and wrist.
The other student involved in the incident was taken to the principal’s office to begin the investigation.
The Florence County Sheriff’s office was contacted. One student has been detained.
