Last Defendant Sentenced For Plotting Kidnapping Of Michigan Governor

The convicted man is the last of the defendants in court to be sentenced for plotting to kidnap the Democratic governor.

On Wednesday, another man was convicted and given a sentence in connection to plotting the kidnapping of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Barry Croft Jr. was a member of the group that planned to kidnap Whitmer from her summer home in 2020. Croft also allegedly practiced detonating explosives in preparation.

The convicted man has been sentenced to just under 20 years in prison. His sentence is the longest sentence that has been given, out of all the people convicted in connection to the case.

Croft is the last of the defendants in court to be sentenced for plotting to kidnap the Democratic governor.
