Traffic Stop Revealed $9 Million Worth Of Cocaine
The man was out of jail on bond on a murder charge out of California.
A traffic stop in Florence County resulted in the discovery of drugs and an arrest of a man out on bond for murder.
34-year-old, Sheldon Alexander, was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine, unlawfully carrying a pistol, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by an illegal alien.
The man was out of jail on bond on a murder charge out of California.
Alexander, who is a native of Trinidad and allegedly illegally in the U.S., was found with an amount of cocaine that street valued to $9 million.
The traffic stop occurred along I-95 North near mile marker 157.
After the search was conducted, 118 pounds of cocaine, nearly $182,000 in cash and a handgun were discovered.
Alexander is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
