FTX Founder Extradited To The U.S.

Sam Bankman-Fried signed extradition papers and will be traveling to the U.S. on a federal aircraft to attend his third courtroom hearing this week.

The FTX founder recently detained in the Bahamas will be returning to the U.S. on Wednesday.

Sam Bankman-Fried signed extradition papers and will be traveling to the U.S. on a federal aircraft to attend his third courtroom hearing this week.

He faces eight federal charges including wire fraud, securities fraud and money laundering related to the collapse of his crypto exchange which filed for bankruptcy last month.

Sam Bankman-Fried was indicted in New York federal court on December 9th and was arrested by Bahamas law enforcement three days later.

With the extradition in motion he will now be returned to U.S. court as he faces a protracted trial process.
