Millions Of Students Receive False Email

An email stated that their application for the Student Loan Forgiveness program had been accepted.

Last month, nearly nine million people received an email from the Department of Education that wrongfully informed students.

An email stated that their application for the Student Loan Forgiveness program had been accepted. No one has been able to receive debt forgiveness at this time due to the legal challenges that the program is still facing. It is currently blocked by federal courts.

The nine million borrowers that received the mistakenly sent email’s have now begun to receive new notifications from the government that correct the error explaining that a vendor mistake led to the email being sent with an inaccurate subject line.

Borrowers should not expect any motions from the forgiveness program unless the U.S. Supreme Court allows it to move forward.
