American College Student Reported Missing While Studying Abroad

The search continues as many are involved and hope for his "swift and safe" return.

An investigation has been opened into the disappearance of an American college student.

Kenny DeLand Jr. was reported missing on November 29th. DeLand is a senior at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York. He has been studying abroad at the University of Grenoble Alpes in France.

DeLand’s parents stated they have not heard from him since November 27th which was unlike him to not reach out to them.

He reportedly left Grenoble voluntarily. DeLand was set to return to the U.S. this Thursday but he has not been in contact with anyone and his last reported whereabouts was on December 3rd after his bank statements showed a purchase at a store.

To help find him, DeLand’s family launched a website where people can submit tips and information, while a prosecutor heads up the investigation in France.

The search continues as many are involved and hope for his “swift and safe” return.
