Residents of Surfside Beach filled the town’s Civic Center and its parking-lot to make sure their voices were heard.

Concerns have risen about the lack of infrastructure the town has to welcome 300 new units and more residents.

Locals mentioned their concerns of parking, traffic and storm-water run-off.

The town planning commission voted unanimously to recommend disapproval of the rezoning proposal which will now go to the town council for the first reading on January 10th.
