Don’t Forget Your Vitamin C!

A study suggest aiming for 130 mg a day is enough. You can get that in one cup of strawberries along with a half cup of broccoli!

It’s easier to get your Vitamin C than you may think.   While some recommend high dosages of 1,000-2,000 mg., a study in the journal of nutrients says, on average, aiming for 130 mg is sufficient.  You can get it in supplements but doctors and nutritionists will tell you, it’s best to get it from the foods we eat.   One cup of strawberries and a half cup of broccoli will get you the ideal daily 130 mg. you can get both of these pretty much year round this time of year.   You can always use frozen berries in a smoothie and steam frozen broccoli and top with cheese.
