The Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Train, Has Been Identified

The incident occurred around 8:30p.m at the Fairview Street Railroad Crossing in Lake City.

The identity has been confirmed of the pedestrian that was struck and killed by a train Monday night.

The incident occurred around 8:30p.m at the Fairview Street Railroad Crossing in Lake City.

Florence County Coroner, Keith Von Lutken, identified the pedestrian as 62-year-old, Betty Chandler of Lake City.

It was confirmed that Chandler died as a result of injuries suffered after stepping in front of the train.

An investigation is still ongoing.
